CELL PHONE

In a world full of innovation and wonder,
The cell phone was born, a technological thunder.
A miracle, they said, connecting us all,
Bringing people together, both great and small.

It was a wonder, a marvel, a sight to behold,
But little did we know, the story would unfold.
Now it's a miracle of a different kind,
For it's disconnecting us, all at a time.

From children to elders, everyone's consumed,
Lost in their screens, their minds entombed.
Family dinners are silent, no words to be heard,
As each member stares at their glowing bird.

The wife with her phone, the husband with his own,
Their son and daughter, each in their own zone.
No one looks up, no one shares a smile,
Caught in a digital world, mile after mile.

When will we wake up, when will we see,
The real world around us, the beauty that's free?
Put down the phones, look into each other's eyes,
Savor the moment, before it flies.

Let's disconnect from the online facade,
And reconnect with the ones we've had.
It's time to live in reality,
And cherish the moments of family.
